Is there really no cost to attend the Superintendents Summit?
Basic lodging, meal, and airfare costs associated with attendance at the Superintendents Summit are underwritten by the Institute. Invitees who attend this event will receive three nights lodging during the event (Wed, Thurs and Fri), all Summit meals and receptions, and travel reimbursement up to $400.
How will Summit attendees be reimbursed for airfare?
Each attendee who submits a travel receipt for Summit travel will receive a reimbursement check at the event covering up to $400.
How many superintendents will participate in the Summit?
Participation is by invitation only, and will be limited to approximately 70 superintendents.
What topics will be covered in the Summit program?
Planned topics include school improvement strategies, mobile learning, social media, online and virtual schooling, curriculum and assessment, special education, interactive classroom technology, health and wellness, and business and finance. Sessions will be led by recognized experts, with ample opportunity for interactive plenary sessions and attendee networking.
Can spouses or significant others attend the Summit?
The DA Leadership Institute offers a guest pass which includes reception and dinner on Wednesday and Thursday. There is a guest fee of $150 which will be emailed to you prior to the Summit. The guest fee is waived for current DA Leadership Institute members only. Airfare reimbursement is provided for participating superintendents only.
Can I extend my stay at the hotel?
Yes; we have negotiated an attractive room rate which you can extend at your own expense for up to three days prior to or after the event, based on availability. You can submit your full request in the Hotel Request form which will be emailed to you.
